Paula Weerkamp-Bartholomeus is born in The Netherlands in 1966. She is President of the Editorial Council of Journal for ReAttach Therapy and Developmental Diversity and also President and founder of ReAttach Therapy International Foundation. She graduated in 1986 at RU Utrecht University in Educational Psychology with a differentiation in Developmental Disabilities. From 1986 until 2011 she worked in a private practice where she was occupied with action-oriented diagnostics and interventions for children, adolescents and adults with complex developmental challenges. She worked in close cooperation with the Child Psychiatric Institute, Clinical Psychologists and (Special Education) Schools. She developed the ReAttach intervention as a schema therapy for adults and children with a variety for ASD and introduced the method in the field of neurorehabilitation.
